Learning Levels
Parents do not need to worry about children's prior experience or ability levels.
All instructors are highly experienced and will flexibly group and adjust instruction based on age, skill level, and individual learning pace, ensuring that every child can learn and grow in a supportive environment.

V. Program Highlights & Special Courses
1. Safety Education & Karate
This year, we have strengthened our Safety Education component.
Our partner, Boston Budo, offers professional safety programs
Safety concepts are naturally integrated into Karate instruction
Sensei Noah teaches self-awareness and basic self-protection in a fun, age-appropriate way
Additional notes:
Uniform fee: $45
Families may purchase a uniform, bring their own, or wear regular athletic clothing
Uniform fees are paid directly to Sensei Noah
2. NEW Course: Young Musicians Ensemble
We are excited to introduce a children's ensemble program, where kids learn music through joyful collaboration.
Program elements include:
Two-piano, four-hand playing to build rhythm and harmony
Violin and other melodic instruments (children may bring their own instrument)
Chorus training to strengthen pitch, listening, and musical memory
Percussion (kids' version) activities to experience rhythm through movement
Learning goals:
Maintain steady rhythm and listen to others
Express themselves musically, not just “play notes”
Take responsibility within a group and enjoy teamwork
3. Boston Magician & “Little Magicians” Experience
Date: July 31
Live performance by a popular Boston magician
Interactive magic activities beyond the show
Children participate, learn, and experience the joy of becoming “little magicians”
4. Chess Tournament
Open to all students who participated in chess classes
Other campers may also register if interested
Every participant receives a personalized trophy or medal, creating a memorable closing ceremony for the summer

1. Director: Yan Feng
Education:
Master of Human Development and Psychology, Harvard Graduate School of Education
Master of American Literature
Ms. Feng is a certified teacher in both China and the United States, with extensive experience in Reggio-inspired, Montessori, and Free Play educational approaches. As the founder of Little Universe Academy (LUA), she is deeply committed to creating meaningful and joyful learning experiences for children.
2. Karate Instructor: Noah Lucia
Noah began Uechi-Ryu karate training at age 3 and grew up in his father's dojo. He also trained in judo and played ice hockey at Norwich University. After graduating in 2008, he traveled to Japan to teach English and study Japanese Kempo. He now continues the family tradition, with his own daughters training under their grandfather, Papa Sensei.
3. Public Speaking & Debate: Stuart Pink
Education:
Law Degree, University of Oxford
Education Degree, Canterbury Christ Church University
Highlights:
Six-time District 31 International Speech Contest Champion
3rd place at Toastmasters International Convention (30,000+ competitors)
Former Chair, New England Chapter, National Speakers Association
Stuart believes public speaking is a critical life skill that can be learned—and enjoyed—by everyone.
4. Chorus Instructor: Xuanhao Li
Education:
Master of Music, Longy School of Music
An accomplished soprano with extensive performance and teaching experience, Ms. Li has trained under renowned international vocal masters and has won multiple international awards. She has over ten years of teaching experience and prepares students for ABRSM exams and recitals.
5. Arts Instructor: Peixian Yao
Ms. Yao holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Cuneo, Italy. She has taught students ages 5–60 and emphasizes creativity, technique, and personal expression.
